Growing up in Oldham, Greater Manchester, it was hard for Aaron not to be influenced by the Northern Indie, Rock and Brit Pop movement. Like most teenagers at the time it wasn't long before he picked up a guitar to try and imitate Oasis and The Arctic Monkeys. Aaron was always around the stage and performance (but backstage doing lighting and sound) before he met the other Tailormade boys at University. After writing and gigging with them he soon realised he wanted to be in the spotlight rather than operating it.
Jack was born in London and raised in sunny St Annes-on-Sea. Jack’s Mum had a huge passion for poetry which seemed to rub off on him, inspiring him to write his own poems and little songs, eventually this would grow into a career. As Jack got older, his confidence grew whilst performing in Musical Theatre shows in larger roles, and he decided he wanted to start a band. So at 15 he and his best friend created an acoustic band singing original music. Within the first few days at the University of Cumbria, Jack met Aaron & Matt and they hit it off instantly. Two years later Jack returned from a lads holiday in Kavos, madly in love, prompting the boys to pen their first track ‘Rum and Redbull’. Hence The Tailormade was born.
Born in Australia and raised in East Anglia, Matt grew up listening to a variety of music from Motown to Rap. Matt first started writing songs at the age of eleven, but it wasn't until later on in his life when he really started taking music seriously. Matt studied Music Tech at college and it was around this time he first picked up a guitar and started writing songs on a consistent basis. He knew he had a feel for performing whilst studying Drama, developing a love for the stage, but acting wasn't for him. Matt’s a dog person and not a cat person.
